The PIP is the system through which public capital investment projects are proposed, justified, appraised, prioritised and integrated into the budget process. Operationalised by MFPT through the PIP module, budget circulars and instructions under the LPFMA. IMF PIMA (2023) recommends establishing a central review/appraisal function in MFPT applicable to all funding sources.
