Regulates the Tribunal de Cuentas, the constitutional supreme audit institution responsible for external economic-financial control of the public sector, including audit of public accounts and evaluation of the efficiency of public spending. Provides the external audit leg of the PIM cycle (PIMA institution 15; PEFA PI-30).
