The cornerstone of Moldova's current PIM framework is Government Decision No. 684/2022. This regulation establishes the national procedures for managing public capital investment projects eligible for funding from the state budget. It sets up a mechanism for the identification, evaluation, planning, approval, implementation, monitoring and management of public capital investment projects funded from state budget resources, including those funded from external sources, development funds, and the contribution of the state budget to the implementation of projects from local budgets.
