Cornerstone PIM regulation adopted in 2023 establishing a unified project planning, appraisal, selection and implementation methodology applicable regardless of whether a project is domestically financed, PPP or foreign financed, and setting out the responsibilities of main stakeholders across the project cycle. Implemented gradually with IMF technical assistance; institutional management is being transferred to a dedicated PIM unit at the Ministry of Finance for integration into the budget process.
