Overview

Institutional approval architecture for public investment. NEC (chaired by the Head of Government) approves Five Year Plans and the ADP; ECNEC approves development projects above Tk 50 crore; the Departmental/Special Project Evaluation Committees (DPEC/SPEC) appraise projects before approval. Governed by Cabinet Division Rules of Business and Planning Commission circulars rather than a single statute.
